As a minimalist, I hate clutter and things that just get in the way. Simple designs are beautiful designs, and when paired with a beautiful color scheme such as this one, who could say no? The colors are very easy on the eyes and there is no clutter to distract the writer, or reader, from what is really important.
However, one thing that I think could be changed a bit is the font. It could be made a little bigger by default, so that people who aren't good with HTML or CSS don't have to fumble about to make their text more readable.
This theme is definitely a 10/10!
While the design itself is quite simple and relies on tables/boxes to maintain an attractive form, the little details make it stand out attractively and give a certain eye catching interest that could easily be lost in similar designs with less attention paid to crafting it.
I find the textures, in their subtly, are what brings out this particular design from falling into the same flat boxed in table designs that are quite common. Just that soft, almost 'fuzzy' texture of the blue backdrop surrounding the stand out smooth surfaced peachy table above it gives the graphic a pleasing depth that flat colors splashed onto a table would simply be lacking. Aided by the use of the codes provided on the preview image, a very handsome journal can be presented with a kind of organization I've been longing for in other designs. Even the chosen font and font colors give an illusion that looks as if the words have been pressed into paper and are inset on the page.
I am quite a fan of the border provided for images place in the scroll table, as well as the roll-over effect given to images within the journal that makes them pop out instantly.
While I am a big fan of simple designs with perfect little details, I have to admit others may be looking for something flashier with more complex detail and they will simply have to look elsewhere. This is not a journal skin to be plastered with flashing gif stamps or for someone looking for particularly eye-catching graphic designs. With this design, the beauty is in the details.
